Maura

Founder & Principal

With over 20 years of experience spanning across marketing, communications, public policy, and government affairs, Maura McGill has become the go-to public affairs marketing and paid media guru for corporate advocacy campaigns. Her data-driven approach to both creative development and advertising optimization have moved the needle among voters and policymakers alike, increasing brand favorability and public opinion towards desired policy outcomes by double-digits. She is a trusted advisor to senior level executives on strategic and impactful storytelling that will break through the clutter and lead to decisive victories. In some circles, her ads are legendary.

Most recently, Maura served as the Global Head of Policy Paid Media at DoorDash, building the public affairs marketing function from the ground up. Her team produced award-winning creative and conceptualized and executed influential advertising campaigns on the state and local, federal, and provincial levels across the US, Canada, Australian and New Zealand.

Prior to joining DoorDash, Maura built out the Global Public Affairs Communications team at SmileDirectClub. She also served as Global Director of Public Affairs Marketing at JUUL Labs, where she managed an 8-figure advertising portfolio and led corporate reputation polling and insights during a particularly intense level of scrutiny from government bodies.

Maura cut her teeth on the brand side at Airbnb, serving as the Deputy Digital Director of the Americas Public Policy team, where she oversaw content production, digital advocacy, and paid media campaigns across the US, Canada and Latin America.

Before she immersed herself in corporate advocacy, Maura ran her own digital consulting shop, Lineup Digital, where she managed digital and social media advertising campaigns for nonprofits, universities, labor unions, and tech startups. Her very first (and potentially favorite) job was working as a journalist for the United Nations Development Programme during the International Year of Microcredit, but that’s another story for another day.

Maura holds a B.A. in History from Boston College, an Master’s in Public Policy from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, a certificate in Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School, and a Certificate in Business Excellence from Columbia Business School’s Chief Marketing Officer Program. She currently resides in a sleepy beach town in Long Island with her partner, son, and slightly chunky Eskipoo, Milo.
